Expanding Human Potential Through Education
UNESCO Club, Soka University
The Soka University UNESCO Club (hereinafter referred to as the UNESCO Club) was established on June 14, 2023, as a voluntary student organization. The UNESCO Club, together with the Soka University UNESCO School Support Committee, conducts extracurricular and on-campus activities on the theme of "What Soka University students can do to promote the creation of a sustainable society" (Advisor: Kentaro Shimada).

The Soka University UNESCO Club has been working to build a nationwide network among UNESCO Clubs by interacting with student organizations from other universities, such as the Tamagawa University UNESCO Club. It has deepened its exchanges with student organizations by participating in events such as the "Kanto Block UNESCO Activities Study Group (Aoyama Gakuin University)" and the "UNESCO Club National Summit (Tamagawa University)." The UNESCO Club will be undertaking the following activities to achieve the SDGs.
Our university's pursuit and development of global citizenship education, as well as the implementation of workshops (including initiatives related to global citizenship education, education for sustainable development, intercultural understanding, environmental education, etc.)
Collaboration with the Soka University UNESCO School Support Committee and participation in related events.
